Abstract
Highly intense single- and few-cycle transients covering the mid and far infrared are generated and electro-optically detected by a passively phase-locked Er:fiber/Ti:sapphire source. These pulses allow us to study condensed matter under unprecedented electric and magnetic fields exceeding 100 MV/cm and 33 Tesla, respectively.
