Abstract
By the nature of very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) the signal recorded at each antenna must be labeled with the time derived from independent time standards. Since these time standards are independent, the time labels recorded at each antenna are neither identical nor increase at identical rates. Thus there is a time dependent clock error at each antenna relative to a reference clock.
