Abstract
Electroabsorption Modulator integrated with a DFB-Laser diode (EA-ILM) is now a well-established technology for 2.5 Gbit/s telecommunications on fiber optics where it tends to gradually replace the traditional lithium niobate modulator fed with a DFB-laser.
