Abstract
We propose a novel wavelength conversion device based on quasi phase matching in alternately bent waveguide with the laterally inverted core structure. Numerical simulations revealed that conversion efficiencies as high as 1850 %/W are attainable for 1.55-μm SHG in 33-mm-long GaP/Alox bent rib waveguides that can be folded up into a 1.4-mm2 square domain.
