Abstract

The intensity of the optical phase conjugate (OPC) wave generated by degenerate four wave mixing (DFWM) in a medium is proportional to the third order susceptibility of this medium. To accurately measure third order susceptibilities of organic molecules and polymers in solution we constructed an OPC interferometer driven by picosecond laserpulses.
