Abstract

Ti-sapphire (Ti:S) technology associated to the chirped pulse amplification (CPA) technique allows to generat TW pulses in the femtosecond range. We report here the development of a femtosecond laser system relying entirely on Ti:S and able to produce TW pulses. Our goal is to generate intensities as high as 1019W/cm2 to study relativistic effects in laser matter interaction.
