Abstract

We report a novel spectroscopic method based on the modulation of a 2-pulse photon echo or a simulated photon echo for the sensitive measurements of frequency shifting perturbations. This is illustrated by the Stark effect on the ⁷ f ₀ → ⁵ d ₀ transition of Eu³⁺:YAlO₃.
