Abstract

The interaction between semiconductor and laser beam can produce many interesting results. GaAs is one of the most important semiconductors, its optical characteristics have wide applications. In this paper we used two- photon absorption of GaAs, successfully realized the temporal shaping of the single longitudinal mode Q-switch pulse, which was output from LF12# oscillator. The pulse being shaped, the top is plane, the duration is stretched, this can not only increase the stability of switching out light pulse, but can increase the precision of long/short pulse synchronizing also.
