Abstract
This report is aimed at a comprehensive analysis of evolution of neutral atoms trapped into an acceleration mode of resonance radiation pressure (RRP) which depends nonlinearly on the atom velocity. The concept of atomic acceleration by means of RRP has got a little panel in contradiction to that of cooling since it was adopted in the middle 80-s that the momentum diffusion, caused by the randomization of RRP, prevents atoms in uni-directional growing of their velocities.[1] However, the sweep of carrier frequency ω can be thought to provide continuous resonance with atomic transition ω(t) = ω21 + k·v(t) (ω21 - the transition frequency, k - the wave vector of light, v - the velocity projectio non the axes k), that may lead to the maximum value of RRP and eliminate the diffusion broadening of velocity distribution (VD). Furthermore, the successive effect of RRP on the every atom of the ensemble can be obtained by such a frequency sweep throughout the Doppler line, as it was demonstrated in the cooling experiment.[2] This is a starting point for our treatment.
