Abstract
The standard schemes of laser cooling in atomic beams rely either on the ability to chirp the frequency of a laser or to Zeeman tune the transition frequency. Here we demonstrate a different concept which exploits properties of the recently developed inherently broadband (or modeless) laser.[1,2]
