Luminescence from Confined States in CdS1−xSex Microcrystals

Abstract

Three-dimensional quantum confinement effects in semiconductor microcrystals occur when the particle size approaches the exciton Bohr radius. This confinement gives rise to interesting new effects which have attracted considerable attention recently.[1]
