Abstract
Coherent control of carrier dynamics in semiconductors is of great interest because it promises the application of coherent phenomena, under investigation for > 10 years. This technique has been demonstrated for manipulation of photocurrent,1 terahertz radiation,2 and carrier density.3 These experiments were based on the relative phase of the fundamental and second-harmonic frequencies of the exciting light or on sequences of phase-locked laser pulses.
