Abstract
In this letter we report the experimental results of the evolution of picosecond light pulses in the presence of different levels of turbulence and particles artificially generated within a chamber equipped with six fans. An applicable model is used to characterize the strengths of the generated turbulence. The impaired time-domain waveforms and the spectrum are observed and examined at the receiving end, then compared with the waveforms acquired in no-turbulence situation. The results can be a helpful reference for design and simulation of FSO communication systems.
