Abstract
Two all-sky imaging systems based on digital single-lens-reflex cameras and fisheye lenses were used to record the spatial and temporal polarization patterns in skylight before, during, and after totality at the total solar eclipse that crossed the United States on 17 August 2017. We describe the polarimetric imaging systems and a brief summary of results, including the first details of the transition from normal to totality polarization pattern.
