Optical parametric oscillator based on aperiodically poled lithium niobate that emits two synchronized pulses

Abstract

An OPO using an APPLN crystal emitting two pulses of nearly identical wavelengths is presented. The wavelengths of these pulses are around 1.4 μm and their separation can be varied between 0.6 and 5 THz.
