Abstract

Novel implementations of single-fiber set-ups for laser-induced breakdown spectro- scopy (LIBS) and laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy (LIFS) systems in remote analysis applications are described, based on gated light switches exploiting Frustrated Total Internal Reflection (FTIR).
