Mode-coupling Coefficients of Semiconductor/Shiny-metal Waveguides for DFB Lasers

Abstract

A model can show the difference in mode-coupling coefficients of semiconductor-metal corrugated waveguides by using different metals. Floquet-Bloch (FB) and Ray-optics (RO) methods are used to calculate coupling coefficients and have close results.
