Progress Toward a Precision Measurement of the Atomic Recoil Frequency Using A Grating Echo Interferometer

Abstract

We discuss progress toward a precise measurement of the atomic recoil frequency using a grating-echo atom interferometer and a non-magnetic apparatus that permits interferometer signal lifetimes approaching the transit time limit.
