Generation of quantum correlated photons in different spatial modes using few-mode fibers

Abstract

We generate photon pairs at 1550 nm telecom through the intermodal four-wave mixing between LP01 and LP11 mode in a few-mode fiber. The ratio of coincidence to accidental coincidence rates is measured to be 28.
