Abstract

High frame-averaging ameliorates low-fluence LED-based photoacoustic imaging by compromising real-time imaging capability. Our generalized and noise-robust U-net framework achieves high signal-to-noise-ratio and contrast-to-noise-ratio in real-time for in-vivo subcutaneous tumor models, outperforming standard noise reduction algorithms.
