Abstract
Deeply etched grating structures in III-V semiconductor waveguides offer a variety of functional possibilities for nonlinear optics including very compact Bragg mirrors and (sub)-cavities in mode-locked lasers, strongly-selective spectral filters and chirped structures for pulse expansion and compression. This poster will emphasize fabrication technology and device concepts.
