Abstract
Sub-half-bandgap nonlinear refraction is considered for semiconductor superlattice waveguides, previously designed for quasi-phase-matched frequency conversion. A highly anisotropic dependence is obtained. Intermixing allows selective area definition of the nonlinear response.
