Achievement of Infrared Persistent Emission from Cr3+ and Yb3+ Ions Based on Upconversion Charging

Abstract

We have explored the charging approach of Cr3+ and Yb3+ co-doped persistent phosphor using a red laser as an upconverted excitation source and achieved infrared afterglow emission in the phosphor through the persistent energy transfer.
