Nonlinear propagation below cut-off in line-defect waveguides

Abstract

We describe nonlinear propagation in a line-defect photonic crystal waveguide below transmission cut-off in terms of novel temporal gap-soliton solutions. All-optical control of the group-velocity over mm-length scales is envisaged.
