Abstract
Chirality of collagen in biological tissues is imaged using double Stokes-Mueller polarimetric microscopy. The chiral nonlinear susceptibility components are related to 3D organization of collagen in the tissues. The phase difference between chiral and non-chiral susceptibility components is revealed by full polarimetry measurements. The investigation indicates that quadrupole effects might be present in the second order response of collagen.
