Abstract
A two-pupil processing technique with acoustooptic frequency offset has been used to synthesize bipolar point spread functions (PSF) in an incoherent system.1 Spatial filtering operations were demonstrated and implemented in a scanning processor.2 In this presentation, we explore multiplexing techniques in order to perform a number of different operations simultaneously. For example, when the heterodyne transfer function of the system is not even, the two components, in-phase and quadrature of the heterodyne signal, can be used to synthesize two different bipolar PSFs. In contrast, not even transfer functions have this capability. An example is shown where the input and its first and second (approximate) derivatives are obtained in a single scan. The use of multiple-pupil interaction with different frequency offsets in a scanning processor is also discussed.
