Model for imaging three-dimensional, incoherently radiating objects with focal imaging systems

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

The 3-D imaging properties of focal imaging systems are space variant and therefore cannot be described by a 3-D convolution with a point spread function. A model is presented that describes the imaging properties of focal imaging systems for incoherently radiating, 3-D object distributions.
