Abstract
Several methods exist to control the correlation properties of a secondary light source by modifying the coherence properties of the light emitted by some primary source. The techniques include the application of the van Cittert-Zernike theorem, scattering by moving diffusers and liquid crystals, acoustooptic interactions, optical feedback devices, and the use of holographic optical elements.
