Abstract
If an extraordinary polarized laser beam A1 is incident on an electrically poled BaTiO3 crystal, the specular reflection A1R1 and the second surface reflection A1R2 decrease in intensity, while the phase conjugate A1* and the associated transmissions A1T1, A1T2 de velop.1 These effects can be dramatically observed with self-pumped phase conjugate oscillations, which are cross-coupled to the transmissions and reflections of an intersecting incoherent beam. A He-Ne laser beam A1 (25mw) with an angle of incidence,, enters the crystal at 2mm from one edge. A1*, A1T1, and A1T2 show regular oscillations, while A1R1 and A1R2 show oscillations, our of phase with those of A*l. If an incoherent beam A2 with ,, is put on, A*2 and A2T1 decrase in intensity and exhibit oscillaitons through beam coupling.
