Compact optical-correlator design using multichip-module alignment techniques

Abstract

Spatial light modulators using ferroelectric liquid crystals on top of a very large scale integration (VLSI) backplane have increased the resolution and speed of electrically addressable modulators, and reduced their overall size and packaging requirements.
