Recurrent Optical Neural Network for the Study of Pattern Dynamics

Abstract

The goal of our current research is to investigate the dynamics of patterns circulating in an asynchronous recurrent neural network. We have designed a recurrent neural network with 16×16 fully interconnected channels and an optical feedback loop. Initial experimental results with building blocks of the system are presented.
