Stimulated Brillouin Scattering and its applications in novel multiwavelength laser sources

Abstract

A multiwavelength Brillouin-erbium fiber laser is demonstrated based on nonlinear Brillouin gain in single mode fiber. A multiwavelength single-longitudinal mode Brillouin-erbium fiber laser is also demonstrated by introducing Rayleigh backscattering.
