Abstract
Electrooptically tunable directional couplers driven by varying the voltages at their electrodes are used as switching elements for conventional integrated- optic switching arrays. The low limits for the crosstalk of the elements require an Individual control of every switching voltage due to the tolerances in wavelength, production conditions, and temperature.
