Abstract
Loaded-line, traveling-wave techniques have been applied to GaAs/GaAlAs waveguide electro-optic modulators to achieve wideband modulation with low drive voltage into 500 in fiber-interfaced devices. The design and performance characteristics of modulator structures of this type will be presented.
