Abstract
In designing an optical packet-switching network that conveys various-length Internet traffic, contention is one of the key problems to be solved, which arises when two packets compete for the same output port in an optical packet-switching router (OPSR). Various contention resolution techniques, e.g. optical buffering, wavelength conversion (WC) and multi-path routing (MPR), have been reported [1,2].
