Optical label switching

Abstract

The design and implementation of a Optical Label Switched Router for packet switched WDM networks will be presented. The algorithms of generating optical labels, look-up tables, routing protocols, and a scaleable network architecture similar to IP/MPLS in optical domain will also be discussed.
