Recently, there has been a surge in interest in microstructured fibers owing to their unique waveguiding properties such as supercontinuum generation1 and dispersion.2 One particular microstructured fiber which shows great promise is the Photonic Band Gap fiber first demonstrated by Knight et al.,3
