Abstract
Many mitigation techniques, both optical and electrical, have been proposed to overcome Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD) impact on systems.1 The efficiency of many of them has been demonstrated through laboratory and even in field experiments2 but, due to the statistical nature of PMD, their usefulness can hardly be established experimentally.
