Abstract

We demonstrate a simple scheme which uses only an intensity modulator and an OSA to achieve low-power (~100nW,10aJ/pulse at 10GHz), self-referenced, amplitude and phase characterization of optical frequency combs and 100% duty factor arbitrary waveforms.
