C-band Single Wavelength 100-Gb/s IM-DD Transmission over 80-km SMF without CD compensation using SSB-DMT

Abstract

C-band 100-Gb/s discrete multi-tone modulation transmission over 80-km single mode fiber without CD compensation is experimentally demonstrated. By using dual-drive Mach-Zehnder modulator-assisted single-sideband modulation, CD induced power fading is eliminated after direct detection.
