Abstract
We demonstrate a silicon photonics coherent transceiver in a ball-grid-array package. It can be handled like a conventional surface-mount-technology component, surviving pick-and-place and 260◦C reflow. It saves cost, size and provides enhanced thermals and bandwidth.
