Experimental Characterization of Colorless Phase Retrieval Under Ultrafast Wavelength Drift for Upstream PON Transmission

Abstract

We successfully recover 40-GBaud QPSK signal under ultrafast wavelength drift up to 20,000 nm/s after 40-km single-mode fiber (SMF) transmission employing col-orless phase retrieval receiver tackling upstream burst-mode issues in high-speed PON.
