Development and Characterization of a Pultruded Fiber-Optic Ribbon

Abstract

The monitoring of large structures by fiber-optic sensors is becoming an important application of this technology [1]. Aim of this contribution is to report the first realization of a fiber-optic sensor embedded in a pultruded material for off-shore structure application.
