Abstract
Four arrays of eleven wavelength-multiplexed regenerated FBGs each have been installed at the sub-surface of W-coated graphite Plasma Facing Units inside the West tokamak. Preparation, installation and preliminary measurements related to low power plasma experiments are described. These results highlight the potential of regenerated FBGs as a new diagnostic for in-line monitoring of Tokamak components during plasma operation.
