Copper ions sensing with aptamer-biofunctionalized bi-stack thin film interferometer on optical fiber tip

Abstract

A thin-film interferometric structure obtained on fiber’s tip and biofunctionalized with aptamers is studied for label-free sensing of copper ions. As low as 100 nM Cu2+ has been detected with negligible sensitivity to Ni2+ ions.
