Abstract

For the past ten years members of the Tucson Engineering staff of Hughes Aircraft Company, have been using a low cost, simple test method for the evaluation of optical systems. We call this test arrangement the "Sun Glare" or "Sun Rejection Test" since it was first developed to determine how well a given lens configuration rejected direct solar energy outside the instantaneous field of view of the lens.
