Abstract

The University of Rochester’s Institute of Optics has a rich history regarding a curriculum in optical interference coatings. This paper will highlight the history of professors who have shaped young minds in the field, how the initial curriculum has stood the test of time, and how new additional curriculum in advanced design techniques is being used to educate future scientists and engineers.
