Abstract

The influence of incidence angle and polarization state on the damaged sites characteristics of fused silica under 355nm laser irradiation has been preliminary studied. The initial sizes and growth behavior of damage sites on the exit surface under the incidence angle of 0 and 45, P and S state are compared to investigate the effects of various angle and polarization.
