Abstract
We describe the general stochastic motion of linearly non-conservative optomechanical systems, levitated in vacuum. Theoretical results are illustrated with experiments revealing rich dynamical behaviour, including stochastic bifurcations and synchronization. Applications to sensing are discussed.
