Abstract

The Halogen Occultation Experiment is designed to measure HF, HCI, NO, and CH₄ in the stratosphere and lower mesosphere using gas correlation spectroscopy. It is found that collisional narrowing effects must be incorporated for accurate HF retrieval using HALOE data.
